Standard Fees

First Office Call
A first office call lasts for 90 minutes and includes a full naturopathic intake, physical exam, and comprehensive treatment plan. The fee is $270.

Follow-up Visits
Follow-ups can be 30 minutes to 2 hours in length. The cost is $180 per hour.

Above rates are for patients who have completed a first office call. Requests for vitamin injections by patients not under Dr. Murphy’s care are welcome but require a one hour initial visit (billed at standard rate) and then may obtain vitamin injections on a recurring basis without an appointment fee (if deemed medically appropriate by Dr. Murphy).

 

 

Insurance Coverage of Services

 

Naturopathic medical services are considered out-of-network by most of the major insurance companies in California. The extent of coverage for services rendered varies according to your insurance company and your individual plan. 

 

Cash, check or credit card is accepted for payment. We supply you with an insurance receipt (called a Superbill) that can be submitted to your insurance company or health savings account for reimbursement.

Health Savings Accounts generally reimbursement at 100% for any out of pocket spending for hourly fees, supplements and standard lab tests.

 

Re-imbursement for Laboratory Testing

 

Standard labs, such as those that you get as an adult on a routine basis (every 1-3 years) such as CBC (complete blood count) and metabolic panels are usually covered by most insurance plans.

 

Specialty labs, such as those ordered for H pylori, celiac testing, genetic testing, food allergy panels, stool candida and parasite tests, adrenal panels, heavy metals etc, and are ordered through specialty diagnostic companies (ZRT, US Biotech, AllCat, Neuro-Science, Immuno Labs and Doctor’s Data), may be reimbursed by your insurance.

 

All lab prices include the physician’s reading fee, shipping and handling.

One Time Free 15 Minute Consultation
Dr. Murphy allows a 15 minute phone consultation as an opportunity for those curious about Naturopathic Medicine and wondering whether Naturopathic Medicine is beneficial for them. She will answer general questions, but will in no means make a diagnosis nor will she provide any form of treatment. This will be saved for an official first-office visit.


Payments Accepted and Cancellation Policy
Check and credit cards are accepted. A credit card or money order is required to hold your appointments. As treatment times are exclusively reserved for you, appointments canceled with less than 24 hours notice still require full payment.
