What is acu-cranial therapy?

Acu-cranial therapy blends traditional acupuncture with craniosacral therapy (CST) to create an unforgettable experience that lets you go deeper than ever before. The skillful placement of acupuncture needles, paired with the gentle touch of four hands, opens the door to what practitioners call “the quantum,” a place where rapid healing and energetic shifts become possible.

How does it work?

Acupuncture is rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine and works to restore balanced flow of Qi, or energy, through the body’s meridians. Craniosacral therapy focuses on the central nervous system, including the brain, spinal cord, and cerebrospinal fluid. By releasing tissue restrictions and balancing this fluid’s natural rhythm, the body is guided out of a fight or flight state and into deep restorative healing.

What can I expect during a treatment?

All treatments take place in our office. A typical session moves through two phases. First, acupuncture needles are placed to soften tense muscles, calm the nervous system, and release blocked energy. Once the needles are removed, two practitioners begin the craniosacral phase together, four hands working in tandem with very light touch, about the weight of a nickel, on the head, neck, and spine.

You remain fully clothed throughout the session. We recommend wearing loose fitting clothing, ideally shorts and short sleeves, so we can comfortably work around your arms and legs.

This is where the real magic happens. As your body settles into deep stillness, you may feel subtle shifts, waves of release, or a profound sense of quiet that’s hard to put into words. Many clients describe it as the deepest they’ve ever been able to relax.
